Comments & Terms of Service

  • Providing references is highly recommended - this helps me be much more able to deliver something you'll love.
  • I prefer to not rig other people's artwork unless it is of exceptional quality.
  • I default to drawing digitally at 350 ppi on an 2894 px x 4903 px canvas (including whitespace) unless you request otherwise. This matches the Japanese professional print standards for A4-sized paper. This is very high resolution.
  • Requests for gore, 18+, violating copyright, obscene or demonic looking art, and furries will be rejected.
  • I reserve the right to reject any commission without explanation before work starts.
  • As a habit, crediting your artist or rigger on whatever platforms you use (YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, etc.) is a professional thing to do but not required.

TL;DR - You get some free revisions if they don't take too long.

  • You may ask for revisions on any portion of the work that has not been deemed 'accepted as completed'.
  • I will ask if you deem the work 'accepted as completed' or otherwise wish for revisions upon a) completing the artwork and b) completing the rigging. You have the following 5 United States business days to respond. If you do not respond in that time, then that portion of the work will be deemed 'accepted as completed', and I will move on to the next portion of the work if any remain. When a portion of the work has been 'accepted as completed' I have no contractual obligations to perform new revisions on it. The only portions of the work which revisions apply to are the 'artwork portion' and the 'rigging portion'.
  • I agree to do revisions which do not take longer than 15% of the total non-revision work hours without cost. This applies separately to both the artwork and the rigging portions of the work. You get revisions for both - artwork revisions taking up to 15% of the time spent on the artwork and rigging revisions taking up to 15% of the time spent on the rigging. At my discretion I may do more than this for you without cost. I like it when you are happy.
  • Very large revisions can be done as an additional project for a smaller than normal fee.

TL;DR - I can refund for parts of work not started yet or if I'm unable to deliver.

  • Refund amounts differ depending on which portion of the work has started. These are the portions:
    • Discussion Portion - first contact to until I draw the first line of the first sketch digitally or not.
    • Artwork Portion - from after the 'discussion portion' until the moment artwork is 'accepted as completed'.
    • Rigging Portion - from artwork is 'accepted as completed' until the moment rigging is 'accepted as completed'.
    • Project Over Portion - everything after rigging is 'accepted as completed'.
  • The definition of 'accepted as completed' is in the 'revisions' section.
  • These are the fees under discussion:
    • Artwork Fees
    • Rigging Fees
    • Payment Processing Fees (e.g. PayPal fees)
    • Waiting List Deposit Fees henceforth called 'deposits' or 'deposit fees' (I currently do not charge these)
  • In the discussion portion:
    • If you cancel the commission, I refund 100% of received artwork+rigging fees minus payment processing fees and 0% of deposits.
    • If I cancel the commission, I refund 100% of recevied artwork+rigging+deposit fees minus payment processing fees.
  • In the artwork portion:
    • If you cancel the commission, I refund 100% of received rigging fees minus payment processing fees and 0% of artwork fees and deposits.
    • If I cancel the commission, I refund 100% of received artwork+rigging+deposit fees minus payment processing fees.
  • In the rigging portion:
    • If you cancel the commission at this point, I refund 0% of artwork fees and deposits. I do refund a percent of the full rigging fees as listed below:
      • A) < 10 hours into rigging -> 75% minus payment processing fees refunded.
      • B) < 20 hours into rigging -> 50% minus payment processing fees refunded.
      • C) < 30 hours into rigging -> 25% minus payment processing fees refunded.
      • D) 30+ hours into rigging -> 0% refunded.
    • If the percents above exceed the value of the rigging fees I received from you, I only have to refund what I have received minus payment processing fees.
    • If I cancel the commission at this point, I refund 100% of received rigging+deposit fees minus payment processing fees and 0% of artwork fees. The return of the deposit is a gift from me.
  • Project Over Portion:
    • You cannot receive refunds at this point as you have already deemed both artwork and rigging as 'accepted as completed'.
    • It is your responsibility to determine if your hardware and software can handle the load of any activities (streaming, recording, etc.) that may need to go on while using the model. I am not liable if the model does not run smoothly due to your lack of hardware or software.
  • In the event of irreconcilable differences:
    • Please talk to me first. I'll try to make things work for both of us.
    • If in the rigging portion, artwork fees will not be refunded as you have already deemed the artwork 'accepted as completed'.
    • Thus in the rigging portion, only 100% of received rigging fees minus payment processing fees will be refunded.
    • If in the discussion or artwork portion, I refund 100% of received artwork+rigging+deposit fees minus payment processing fees.
    • You cannot claim irreconcilable differences if you have agreed the rigging portion of the work is 'accepted as completed'. If you ghost me after receiving the final model, remember that the revision period automatically closes after 5 United States work days and at that point the rigging portion will automatically be deemed 'accepted as completed' thus ending all refund periods. By ghosting I mean I cannot reach you do to you not responding to any attempted communication.

TL;DR - I email you an archive when done and paid.

  • The completed project files come in the form of an archive (e.g. zip file) containing the files needed for VTube Studio.
  • Archive contents include, but are not limited to a .moc3 file, possible animation and physics files, and usage instructions.
  • You may optionally request the .psd file of the art to be included in this archive.
  • The Live2D project file itself (.cmo3) will not be provided. This file is not needed to run the model.
  • Final files will not be delivered if payment has not been received in full.
  • Before a project begins we will discuss the expected timeline. If your project completion date is not flexible please tell me so otherwise I willl treat this as an approximate end date.
  • At minimum, I will communicate progress to you weekly. If you fail to check your messages this will not be considered lack of communication on my part.
  • I will do my best to communicate in the case of exceptional circumstances such as equipment failure, power outages, and natural disasters but the delivery date may need to be delayed to in such circumstances.
  • The specific commercial rights agreed to in the contract will not be assigned before payment is received in full. This website is not the contract. I send it to you later.
  • In the standard contract, I reserve the right to use the completed model for promotional purposes (such as showing it in my portfolio or streaming its creation). You may request I waive these rights for a large additional fee.
  • I want you to have the best experience possible so please ask if you have trouble setting up the completed model.

TL;DR - I'm happy as long as you pay in some manner. I don't work until at least paid in part.

  • Full upfront payment is preferred but not required.
  • If you do not wish to pay upfront, the following payment schedule is recommended: 1) 100% of the artwork cost, 2) 50% of the rigging cost, 3) the other 50% of the rigging cost.
  • There is currently no deposit fee for the waiting list but one will soon be added.
  • Work on any portion of the project only begins once payment is provided. If you have only paid for the artwork then work on the rigging will not start. If you have only paid for 50% of the rigging then only 50% will be done until the final payment comes.
  • Due to the large size of most payments bank transfers are preferred, but Paypal and similar payment methods are also accepted.
  • I cover up to $50 of bank transfer fees in the form of price deductions for each payment exceeding $500. Please do not be wasteful with fees.
  • Exotic payment methods (physical checks, gold bullion, bitcoin) might be accepted upon request. Note that any mailing time may result in delaying the start and end-date of the project.
  • I do not work for exposure or other nebulous marketing benefits.
  • Rush fees will be added if you request an earlier project completion date after we have already agreed on a later completion date and work has already started. The amount will be determined on a case-by-case basis but will likely be a good chunk of the original project cost.
  • In the event anything listed on the website or in any other communication conflicts with the contract, then the contract takes precedence. The contract is typically sent by email after we have agreed upon a price.
